Ravens vs Titans predictions

The Baltimore Ravens passing game was supposed to open up this season under Todd Monken, and while that hasn’t necessarily been the case, it looks like the Ravens drafted a stud in rookie Zay Flowers. The speedy wideout has emerged as Lamar Jackson’s favorite downfield target and leads the team in targets (40), receptions (29), and receiving yards (317).

Flowers has a whopping 27.3% target share (higher than Minnesota’s All-Pro wideout Justin Jefferson) and boasts a 30.4% air-yard share. He should continue to get plenty of looks his way against a Tennessee Titans defense that is 26th in air yards allowed and 27th in dropback EPA.

Flowers is coming off a performance against the Steelers where he had a season-high 11 targets and totaled 73 yards on five catches. He hauled in a 29-yard reception in that contest and there were a few other deep throws from Jackson that they just missed on.

The Over on Flowers’ longest reception prop is installed at 20.5 yards, a number he has eclipsed in four of five games. Hammer the Over in a favorable matchup against a vulnerable Titans secondary.

My best bet: Zay Flowers longest reception Over 20.5 yards (-114 at FanDuel)Picks made at time of writing may not reflect live odds.

Ravens vs Titans same-game parlay

Zay Flowers Over 56.5 receiving yards (-114)Derrick Henry Under 63.5 rushing yards (-114)Titans +4 (-105)

+715 at FanDuel

We can’t play an SGP involving Flowers’ longest reception prop, but we can base it around his receiving yards total which I also like at 56.5 yards.

Henry V had a relatively short reign as England’s monarch but it was still a longer reign than most superstar NFL running backs enjoy. Tennessee’s Derrick Henry also might have reached the end of his reign after five years of dominating the league.

Henry was limited to 43 yards on 13 carries last week and was held to just 20 yards on 11 carries in Week 3. He’ll have a tough time picking up yards against a Ravens defense that ranks sixth in the league in rush EPA, especially with Tyjae Spears cutting into his snap count.

The Titans have been the best underdog team in the NFL under Mike Vrabel, winning an incredible 24 games when catching points since 2018. Since 2021, they are 14-6-1 against the spread as pups while the Ravens are just 9-18 ATS as favorites.

Ravens vs Titans spread and Over/Under analysis

This line opened with the Ravens at -3 and has ticked up to -4, with some books even dealing at -4.5 as of Friday evening. Meanwhile, the total has ticked up from 40 to 42.

The Ravens are fresh off a 17-10 road loss to the Steelers, which dropped their record to 3-2 straight up and ATS this year. Baltimore has one of the top stop units in the NFL and ranks second in defensive EPA. However, while the Ravens continue to run the ball well (sixth in rush EPA), their passing game remains ineffective ( 24th in dropback EPA).

The Titans are another team that prefers to run the ball and grind out victories with defense. That said, their pass defense has been awful this year and their run defense could be vulnerable if lineman Teair Tart (listed as questionable) is unable to suit up. The Titans lost 23-16 to the Colts last week and are 2-3 SU and ATS on the year.
