Juve´s Alessio sees ban reduced

Juventus assistant coach Angelo Alessio will return to matchday duties against Napoli after having his six-month ban reduced.

Alessio was originally handed an eight-month matchday suspension, later reduced to six months, for not reporting instances of match-fixing during his time at Siena in 2010.

The ban has since been shortened to just two months, meaning he will be involved with the first team when they hosts joint leaders Napoli in a top-of-the-table Serie A clash on October 20.

The Italian s sporting arbitration court took the decision on Friday, only a week after Juventus coach Antonio Conte had his own 10-month ban, also for failing to report match-fixing at Siena, reduced to four months.

Massimo Carrera, another member of the Juventus backroom staff, has guided the team on match days during the early months of the 2012/13 campaign.
